Depends really, thanks to the Japanese win over SA and Samoa their rugby viewership skyrocketed. The entities which owns the Top League Franchises may see this as an opportunity. Only time will tell.

The JRFU and their national government was close to kicking RWC 2019 and their Super Rugby participation, the win over the Springboks changed their minds. This is why there was a conspiracy theory that the Springboks had thrown the game.

Last I read, the Top League clubs want nothing to do with Super Rugby. They feel that it will devalue their brands, having a Japanese team in Super Rugby.

Dobson will probably take over as interim coach while the search continues.

Not too many quality coaches out there unfortunately.

We know Nick Mallett will never coach in SA again.

There is a possibility that Mitchell may show interest should WPRU renegotiate the terms with him, Mitchell is trying to avoid another Lions’s debacle…
 
So Jake who was said to be a done deal is not even a long shot any more? And the Wee Pee couldn't have been too certain Jones could turn their fortunes around if they'll let him go.

Folks, remember to keep a lookout for the MyBB Super Rugby competition...

Fanie and I are working on the finer details. Once we have a solid proposal I will create a thread to bounce it off the mybb brains' trust to see if it can be improved upon.


EDIT: and of course I will smokkel rpm for some prizes! :p
