Official Super Rugby 2016 Thread

Jeez 45-3 as I start watching. Should rather be called the moongazelles. Total mauling so far.

As a Cheetah supporter I've had to try and force back the cork into the champagne bottle too many times in the past... But this does look promising.

Sunwolves disappointing, unconvincing rugby. No excuses. Pisi has little interest in controlling the line throughout receiving the ball, he is already in Bristol. Bad tackling, little commitment. Then, inconsistent match officiating as well. Cheetahs good on the attack, Lood being outplayed by his lock partner.

Having watched many Cheetahs games in my years, I would call this game 50/50 even right now. The Cheetahs could implode any second now...:p

There exists a coach worse than Gold .... I never thought there'd be another in his league. Gods what an awful 'team'. Not even rugby this. But what a beauty is Petersen, wow, he's got some pace.

Indeed... Never the same Cheetah team for two halves.

Half time hooter is like the clock striking midnight in faerie land and the Cheetahs usually turn back to disappointments.

The japanese players need to be left out and the SW's might have a chance. Atrociousness.

That last try... It is the second knock being made by the Cheetahs where the ref continued play, not to mention an infield injury eliminating an player on the defence.

Yeah, it would have made zero difference to the drubbing but ref consistency is seriously lacking when it comes to the Cheetahs faults

You pop it in the 50s, 60s, 70s or are you waiting for 80 up?

EDIT: Or maybe the 90s. ;)
DOUBLE EDIT: Do it now, ya ain't getting the extra points for the ton in less than two minutes. :D

Must be the most humiliating (as well as highest) defeat in Super rugby history? Nope Bulls beat the Reds 92-3 in 2007.

I do not see the Sunwolves recuperate from today. When you have one of the best coaches in world and being unable to play your line… you know that there are issues in the Sunwolves structure, whether it is communication, a small pool of eligible players or limited preparation time this is simply unwanted in Super Rugby. Not once has Hammett stuck to his players within their best positions, the first games showed indications of finesse and dedication, this today was k@k rugby.

Good luck Joseph, your call to get all the Top League industrial clubs and the Brave Blossoms squad to show their loyalty to the Sunwolves has been trumped today by the Cheetahs.

One of those demands where the rugby board should call clutch or kick.

I can only hope that Verblitz player, Yosuke Takahasi, shows some Japanese ‘brave’ rugby scrummage for the Free State XV tomorrow against the lacklustre Blue Bulls.
