Hold the boat Fanie. That was a superb try. The Lions are looking good with ball in hand but their decision making is letting them down. If they can sort that out (as well as their retention at the breakdown) they're the one team that can easily make up that deficit.

This ref is the biggest piece of shyte. The Lions are playing bad but this ref is useless. Everybody always complains about NZ and Aussie refs but the SA refs must be the worst in the world.

Scary good Hurricanes showed up to play and the Lions were extremely outplayed. Odd ref calls for advantage - Lions take 2 steps and it's over, Hurricanes can get 20m and still not have advantage over :wtf: Anyway, Ackerman must be livid at that display.

Ref was laughable, the first and third try should not have been allowed.
Lion however were just plain pathetic, not up to standard at all.

The Lions loss is just indicative of how far all the other countries are behind New Zealand rugby. The best non NZ team just got hammered at home.

Agreed. Even as a Stormers supporter, it somehow tempers my perceptions of their achievements in this tournament. Only plus side is that we don't have the Caped Crusaders out in force at Newlands
