Wondering when they will reveal their jersey's and if the Kings will participate in SR with their financial problems?

I recall seeing 14 December as the Kings jersey reveal date.

And the Kings will compete no doubt.

And I hope they (the players) will make us proud. I'll be cheering all the way unless they are playing against my Cheetahs.

Yep, 14 Dec. - to coincide with the opening of the BLK shop at the Boardwalk complex.

It's actually holding us at the supporters' club back from getting our shirts completed and ready for distribution.

Out of interest.

What does the supporters' club jersey cost? Can I buy one from you guys when launch is finished?

This is the one I used last season:

I hear what you are saying, but how many players will be hi-jacked at other unions to play at the King and where will their funds come from?

Players who haven't left by now won't leave.

And with SARU stepping in things are looking a bit better.

Of course it will take a few weeks for SARU to sort things.

What I mean by "won't leave" is that they won't leave so close to the tournament.

They and I will hopefully trust SARU to get things organised enough so that it is worth staying.

And it really isn't just as easy as packing up and leaving. Families, friends and supports structures are all pretty set by now. Which makes the situation they find them in so much more difficult.

And to add to that. Not many other unions are going to snap up all these players. Their budgets, goals, players and structures have been pretty much finalised for quite a while now.

I wish BLK will be the Lions jersey sponsors.... jersey's are soooo much cheaper

I think you misunderstood me, meant players from other unions being forced to play at the Kings

Oh yeah. Clearly. That's what happens when you try to work, watch Sevens, watch the Proteas crumble and keep an eye on MyBB. Sorry.

As far as I understand only SARU-only contracted players will be considered for that option. No players under contract with other unions.
And basically those are only Sevens players. Hougaard being one of them now.

But with the Sevens series on-going and Olympics preparations to think about. I don't think they will go that route too often or easily.

So with Hougaard, if he doesn't play for the Kings, he'll be playing for no one? (because he does not have a bulls contract)

Right?

But so what if Hougaard is asked to play at the Kings?

Must have been a very good reason for not renewing his Bulls contract and like McD has pointed out to me before. He has some firm connections in PE.

If it means he gets good game time while not involved with the Sevens and the Kings have a world class player to add much needed experience and oomph... I'm all for it.

And at scrum half and not all over the place...
