Kaplan missing yet infringement - skew lineout! This is just ridiculous...but the Sharks win in the end despite this hopeless officiating.
 
Farkin nice ..... so glad the game came alive. Well done Sharks and Reds for a really good game in the wet :D
 
Ran 80m within in the last minute or two...fantastic! :D

I suppose it is karma for losing a game they shouldn't have last week.
 
With 2 mins to go my wife said "Well, that's the game. There's no hope now."

I said "In rugby you never know. They can still score."

She said "yeah, right."

Just shows that in rain "nice" rugby can still be played. Congrats to both teams for making it a very viewable game of rugby in that kind of weather.

Cape Town - Springbok Frans Steyn is seriously considering a return to South Africa, even if it means he'll earn less money.

His agent, Gerrie Swart, told Rapport that Steyn and South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer have already had talks about Steyn's Springbok future.

"Money is not his main consideration and aim. He has set goals for his career. An important one is to win trophies. That includes the World Cup and the Super Rugby title.

"But for now Frans wants to help Racing Metro win the French Top 14.

I like that they are looking to have him at inside centre. I think he will return to the Sharks if he returns to SA.

He was nailed for a subsequent red card by the citing officer from what I read yesterday, so the standard one/two game suspension should apply.

What I cannot stand are our South African commentators not wanting to make a fuss whenever there is an incident of sorts. Whether it be a fight; a terrible tackle; a dubious try etc. What was quite clear was that he not only turned him through 90 degrees but he drove him into the ground with his shoulder. Both of those are yellow card offences yet Joel Stransky was telling us how it was a slightly over-the-top "telling" tackle.

I wish our commentators would grow a bloody pair and just voice their actual opinions. Don't even get me started on their reaction to the ridiculous call by the linesman regarding The Sharks' disallowed try for a supposed dangerous entry by Willem Alberts at the ruck. Willem took the guy with both arms and the commentators then say "it might be a bit harsh but it's an understandable call".

What the fsck?
