Official Super Rugby Thread 2012

Why is there no stormers supporter's thread?

All the Stormers supporters I know are either at the game or chatting about the game at braais, pubs, etc. No real need to go looking for other supporters. ;)

Lol, excuse us for even daring to post and interact with other rugby supporters in your obvious divine presence

Most ridiculous thing I've read in a while ............ :wtf:

The dust has not settled on the Golden Lions and Guma TAC Group deal, or settlement should I say, and the company is back in the news again, this time targeting another rugby union.

News24.com reports that the Guma Group have been in talks with the EP Kings and is close to signing a deal with the potential Super Rugby franchise. Guma themselves have come forward to confirm that they have been in discussions with the Kings for a few months already.

The Kings are now guaranteed Super Rugby participation for both the 2013 and 2014 years, and with this guarantee comes the ability to generate income, with the Guma Group keen on getting their hands on some of that.

Can't say I'm surprised, Kings rugby seems inclined to do whatever nasty they need to ........

That report is a tad misleading. There is no guarantee that the Kings will play Super Rugby in 2013.

A further meeting of franchises of the South African Rugby Union (SARU) to discuss participation in the Vodacom Super Rugby competition will take place on Monday.

Representatives of South Africa’s five existing Super Rugby franchises (Vodacom Bulls, Toyota Cheetahs, MTN Lions, The Sharks and DHL Stormers), the Southern Kings, the SARU presidency and management met in Johannesburg on Thursday in the latest in a series of meetings on the subject.

“Everyone was agreed that we must secure a solution that does not damage any of the existing franchises,” said Jurie Roux, CEO of SARU.

“It is a complex issue with no easy answers and we are determined to leave no stone unturned in finding that answer. A number of options were discussed but there is currently no preferred alternative to recommend to the General Council.”

Roux explained that the decision on Vodacom Super Rugby participation rests with the SARU General Council.

The next scheduled General Council meeting takes place on July 13.

Because the handful of Breezers supporters there are like to troll other threads instead of chatting among themselves ............ ;)

Also, this question has been asked before ........ all the supporter threads were started by us supporters so just start one instead of moaning, lol.

We just let our position on the log do the talking! ;)

Our supporters don't feel the need to moan about the ref or the coach unlike some other supporters... :D

Love that line - "Breezers supporters never moan about the ref" - well you could fool me bro, I've seen supporters from ALL unions moan about the ref, from a little to a lot and that very much so includes you lot ;)

Well perhaps in "real-life" there is an equal amount of moaning but definitely on this forum, Stormers supporters don't moan as much about the ref as Sharks or Bulls supporters. Maybe it's because we just keep on winning! ;)

From what I remember the only regular Stormer posters are alf101, elysian and myself and I haven't seen those two complaining.

I was just saying that in my experience, other Stormer's supporters watch the game with mates and chat to them about it.

Head off to the Sharks supporters club and you won't have to post running commentary during your team's games.

Sorry boss, excuse me for daring to watch the game online and interact with others watching the match ........
