I still cannot get over that Jaco Taute injury.

I had nightmares about it last night. Knees were not designed to bend that way.... :eek:
 
It was amazing at the stadium on Saturday - people were cheering and in general good spirits, at times I was cursing Francis for kicking away possession too often but he came good in the end, lineouts weren't as good as I would've hoped for but otherwise the team showed some heart - at this stage we are still dark horses for the playoffs - I hope with everything in me we make it, because we just need a chance coz we showed again rugby is 83 minutes and you play until the last whistle.

Never rated Taute but that injury I wouldn't wish it on anyone. . .

No I have only seen two fights at the stadium (from what I can remember) ever.

Once was when the Cheetahs played the Bulls and an acquaintance of mine was sitting in front of us and two Bulls supporters started getting loud and insulting. Don't know what happened exactly but the Bulls supporters girl broke a bottle over this guys head and he took exception to it and moered her BF - that guy fell in between the chairs and he got like 5 shots in the face for his troubles - security broke it up and the Bulls supporters were stupid they didn't leave - so after the match when they (eventually) got up this guy and his buddies got up as well and moered each other again behind the stands. That fight the Cheetahs guy lost :D

The other one was at the beer tent for the after match show and two students got into it.

The rest of the times I haven't seen any problems at the stadium :D
 
Don't forget the Supersport producer who got slapped around after he had some fun in the toilets with another man's wife.

He claimed he was attacked in a dark passage and can't remember anything... Hahaha.

I see one option for fullback. As much as I think Zane is a good fullback, he is not the answer if you want to play anything but Kicking/safe game.

Good to see serfontein invited. Also good to see kholisi in the mix, as well as Rhule.
 
Frans Steyn can step in at fullback as well and our centres are covered...
 
I'm happy for Ebersohn, Du Toit and Serfontein.

Bit miffed for Aplon, Brussow and even Bekker.

I do have my Cheetahs blinkers on but I thought Lood de Jager and Lappies Labuschagne would have gotten a call up. Even if it was just for the experience and to get used to the Bok environment.

Brussow hasn't come back from injury with that potent form he had beforehand and we have some incredible talent in the loosies at the moment. Aplon and Bekker? Nah, they're so 2012...:D

They also need a bad decision maker in their mix, apparently. Try being a Bulls fan and thinking back to the days when Spies was a legend. Then think back to that decision he took last week...

Maybe I watch Sharks games while highly intoxicated or something but he doesn't seem like the Frans we knew before he left for France
 
Honestly what must Keegan Daniel do to be considered for selection? I also think that Cobus Reinach should have been included to introduce him to the structures as I see him as a possible SA scrummy in the future. If Sarel wasn't injured he should of been in there as well. Suffice to say it seems that Heneke hasn't strayed too far from his usual formula with the exception being Ebherson.
 
Frans doesn't get decent ball at centre for The Sharks imo. Lambie and Reinach have been disappointing with their backline play this season. I really don't rate Reinach at all - certainly not for the Boks...

No he definitely isn't, he was 118kg when he got back from France and Plum says he wants to get him down to 105 but I think he would need to get to about 100/102 to be back to the world cup winning Frans.
 
Some oke - well known, I am sure - was on Ballz yesterday and he discussed his picks. I couldn't agree with him on everything but it did open my eyes to the mess that is Superbru this weekend. Get your heads around...

Highlanders v Brumbies
Fresh off a near-humiliating draw to the Kings, Jake's new whites will be very careful - and very humbled. The Highlanders, on the other hand, must be desperate for a win now. They have a home game against a recently knocked to the ropes giant. It is the Top vs the Bottom, effectively. Top should take it but I don't want to jump to any conclusions....

Chiefs v Reds
...except maybe this one. Chiefs shouldn't really have too much trouble dispatching the reds. Stranger things have happened though. So far, at least I have one pick ready to make.

Blues v Hurricanes
Head to head, these two teams are just about equal so far. Jaco Peyper likes the home team and seeing as he is on the whistle, unless something happens between now and pick day, I will go Blues.

Rebels v Southern Kings
And here's the poser. Campese went Rebels (although he did admit that perhaps his heritage played a part in the pick). Then he said something even cooler: wanna wager another draw? Of all matches in all games across the season, this is the one that I would rate as most likely to draw. Now, I am favouring the visitors.

Force v Crusaders
Ah - the easiest pick to make and mine is made. Force by 15. Well, they have done that to the Crusaders before. And the boys know that. Damn, not so easy to pick anymore. Still, I think the Crusaders should take it.

Stormers v Sharks
I await the shiftstorm that will hit this forum by Friday before I make my decision. Everything favours the visitors - which means they will probably lose.

Bulls v Cheetahs
Campese said Bulls. Then he changed his mind. This is such a difficult call that I will rely on my two tie-breaker rules:
(1) Support the home team
(2) Always support the BULLS.
