Plumtree leaves

The Sharks confirmed that discussions were held today between representatives of themselves and John Plumtree ("the Parties").

It was mutually and amicably agreed between the Parties to part ways with immediate effect.

The terms of the agreement concluded between the Parties are confidential.

Stephen Saad, the Chairman of The Sharks said: "We thank John for his wonderful contribution to Sharks rugby over many years. He has been a loyal and faithful employee and The Sharks have benefitted greatly by his input. We are also grateful for the impeccable manner in which he has conducted himself during challenging times in the last while. We wish John all the best in his future endeavours."

On the Afrikaans news on SABC2 tonight they kept calling them Die Haaie. WTF???? Sharks is a brand that cannot be translated. Do they call the Stormers die Sleg Weer?

The Natalse Haaie was established in 1890, the team were called Piesangboere/Banana Boys up until the 1990’s, and then when they entered the Super 10 they were called Die Sharks or The Sharks as according to the English speaking. The company established in 1998 is called The Sharks (Proprietary) Limited. It is appropriate to still call them Die Haaie. Stormers are not a word anyway.

Sigh why can't problems leave the Cheetahs alone :(

I need to buy a toyota and add in a clause must give half the profits to the Cheetahs player fund!

EDIT:

Before you ask - De Waal, Shumie, CJ are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

CHIEFS to beat Hurricanes
They're flying high and should take a win without too much effort. Unfortunately. Although, a result the other way won't surprise me.

CRUSADERS to beat Highlanders
But only just - in fact, I'd think this would be the upset pick for the weekend if one needed to be made. In these final stages, every win counts for teams that are hanging out in the top 6. They still suck though - over-rated sheep-shagging cow-raping inbreds.

BLUES to beat Sharks
A real pity this - the disarray, the chaos, the poor decisions by management - none of it is good for the sharks and while they really should fk the blues up, unfortunately they have fallen on hard times. I hope I am wrong.

BULLS to beat Southern Kings
Well...

CHEETAHS to beat Stormers
Cheetahs are on the edge of a dream here - they'll do everything they can to stay in the race and they only have two games left so they better do it with some flare.

Well the Flounulle buys all Province youngsters and we don't have issues, so why you going on about it. Like Devill said, its a professional sport.

Chiefs have players returning from injury----Bulls have players departing with injury.Allthough the Bulls have now two easy games,Kings and Sharks at home. Week 19 Chiefs vs Crusaders will be interesting, don't think Carter will get caught again with charge downs. If they lose and the Bulls play after them the next week too,the points situation will be interesting.

I see that Fulcrum (Kaptein) went with the Hurricanes over the Chiefs. I don't know how you do it but you tend to make these outside picks and get them right. I look forward to see the result. :)

Both sides will play an enormous game. I do believe that depending on the weather that it shall provide advantage to the home team. Canes took the Saders and nearly pulled through against the Brumbies. I am more worried with my Stormers vs. Cheetahs selection. In the end my money is still on the Brumbies to take the cup… will see during the semis which team play to win.

It's pretty close. It's going to be an interesting second half. I must say that I thought the Chiefs will win this one easily.

During this break, the Canes must have some serious talks on the horrible DEFENCE! At least they know how to run the ball.

Sorry, Fulcrum but the Hurricanes let you down today. Me too, mind you. When I saw that you went with them I put a small bet on the Hurricanes on the handicap. It's disappointing that they couldn't even beat the handicap.
