Cheetahs were poor - no use blaming a ref when the margin is so big. There were a few calls I was unhappy with but I was sitting outside the bar looking in because there weren't any tables inside open so I may have missed a few things (stupid friends who have birthday parties who don't care about rugby :D )

But Cheetahs were just poor - now we have to beat the Blues convincingly otherwise we cost ourselves the playoff spot.

Very disappointed with the performance - my friends have never seen me so dejected - luckily I could shake it off and had a designated driver :D

looks like you had much to drink and only saw the game from one angle i suppose. the way i see it is that the cheaters will choke and not make the knock out phase.

I also don't see the Sharks beating the Bulls at Loftus. i guess it leaves the door open for the Stormers and sneak into the playoffs and do a banana style.

I'm with you on this one. The Cheetahs will have to lift their game tremendously to be the Blues next weekend. I also don't see the Sharks beating the Bulls at Loftus. Not the current Sharks team in any case.

One angle? I said it was no use blaming the ref with such a huge deficit? Two or three calls not going your way is not going to make a difference when you are playing like palookas. Plus it was in response to Apoc. . .

I suppose you can still qualify: we can slip up against the Blues which puts them on 48 (no bonus point for this illustration) and then they will have to lose to the Chiefs and you beat the Bulls then you can sneak in with 51 points (you will then require a 4 try bonus point - either against the Kings or Bulls) otherwise you will be level with us on 50 points - assuming we take nothing from the Blues game.

Well done to your team - you beat us and I was very disappointed in the effort my team put in to qualify but no use in crying over spilt milk.
 
It won't even help the Cheetahs to qualify in 6th place because based on Saturday's form they will get a hiding from the Brumbies who are their likely opponents in the play-offs

Apoc is a Cheetah - his post makes it seem that a lot of the blame should be by the ref, I said we played poorly.

If you have that type of attitude you probably know nothing about sport? Do you think that Ryan Bailey thought well I know I won't win so why even go to the Olympics? Do you think Goran Ivanisevic will agree with you? Do you think that the Greeks thought 'Hey you know what would be better than going to Euro 2004? Eating Moussaka and going for a stroll'? What about Wigan in this years FA Cup?

If the Cheetahs get knocked out in the playoffs then I will still be proud because we made it further than we have ever gone before. We have worked hard for our shot at the playoffs and it will make me very sad if two results means our season is over. But you saying it is better if we are not even there is absolutely the wrong attitude.

I know Apoc is a Cheetahs supporter this was in response to Kopite who missed that Apoc mentioned the ref first - I just put Apoc's quote below my ref comment so it is easier for Kopite to follow :D

Then I went on about his comments about the Stormers and their qualification hopes :p

Looks like I'm not coherently commenting on everyone else's posts.

My pops who is a big Bulls supporter gave me a lot of flak this weekend - mainly because I said the Bulls are useless because they cost me margin and a bonus point with their lack of effort in the last 10 minutes and because the Cheetahs imploded against province :D

I had Bulls by 36 so missed everything and my bro had Bulls by 25 and he got all the points in our Bloem pool - haven't checked the mybb pool yet - scared of logging in after the Cheetahs game :D

We all know that.

I know for a fact that the cheaters are not gonna play their usual stylish running rugby that we always see, but will do the blue bull conservative type game, which will suit the blues. they will pounce in every mistake the cheaters make. sorry to burst your bubble.
