Playing on a pitch like that can be very dangerous for players. Very easy to twist an ankle. Even scrums collapsing because the grass rips apart.

The Lions would thump the Sharks if the have to play against each other now. I think the Sharks is the worst team we got at the moment.

The lions have actually had 2 really tough games first up. Stormers have a flood of Springboks and Chiefs are a really strong side. I would say probably finalists.

Hugh Bladen sounded extremely drunk tonight. Yoh. "I hear... that... Kobus Wiese... is still down there... working the field". I mean, that sounds wrong in SO many ways.

So should we assume that both refs just interpret things totally differently or did the one team all of a sudden start transgressing in the second half while the other improved their discipline?

Just a reminder, in case you haven't read all your posts:
I was not actually watching this game but following online commentary

Sharks discipline got progressively worse while cheetahs improved. Kaplan was being stringent towards cheetahs and tolerant to sharks. The new ref didn't take any k@k (didn't have a stomach bug)

Well that happens when the bloody soccer takes over. Its the same case with Loftus. They had to remove the rugby pitch and plant new gras so that the pitch is FIFA approved but you can't play rugby on a soccer pitch!

I just wish this freakin soccer can just come and go! I'm so gatfol of this crap!

They would've abviously fixed the pitch this week but I saw the pitch at Loftus lastweekend and it was in a shocking condition. Rugby will be blamed again even if they haven't played there in 6 months, but the real reason is the soccer. The areas were the goals are are without grass. There were big patches without any grass. This soccer at rugby stadiums should stop!

Woah, easy does it. The WC is one in a lifetime in SA. Using the biggest stadium for a world cup makes sense. You do know that Soccer City was the main stadium in the SA bids for the 2015 and 2019 RWC, right?

There are no easy games in the S14.

The Lions-chiefs games was one of the most ridiculous games I've seen in my life. It's like both teams just decided not to tackle anyone. The overtime play for the bonus point was pretty tense though and it was a much more entertaining game than the very lacklustre sharks-cheetahs game. Hopefully the game against the brumbies tonight is electric!

And how the hell did the crusaders lose to the reds? Did anyone watch that?

And how the hell did the crusaders lose to the reds?

In the end they lost with ease.

Reds played extremely well. Take nothing away from them.
Also remember that they were extremely unlucky to lose last week against the Waratahs. Losing in the final seconds.

I think the Reds, like the Cheetahs will surprise a few teams this year.

Bulls 50 - 32 Brumbies

Great performance by Bulls. Definitely the team to beat so far.

Nice win by the Bulls... love to see an Ozzie side go down

But what a shocker by Mark Lawrence :wtf: Expect some backlash about that performance. And the less said about the commentators the better :D
"the Brumbies are missing a lot of under-uppers" ...Hugh Bladen :D

I see Jonathan Kaplan is running touch in the Stormers vs Waratahs match.

If you see a brown line along the field, you will know his stomach bug is not cured yet.

You mean you saw he was supposed to run the line but he is not.

Damn. The new interpretations are really killing the game at breakdowns.

Some harsh words towards the referee from Phil Waugh.

Stormers 13 - 3 Waratahs (Half-Time)

Half time 13 - 3...let's hope the Stormers don't go to sleep in the 2nd half again :erm:
