Cheetahs in trouble: Brussow injured in warm-up match against Griffons on Friday.

Will post more details as they become available.

Rumor has it that the super 14 board has warned the cheetahs to start performing in the super 14 competition or leave to make space for a more competitive team.

Will this be the last super 14 tournament? will we see the birth of The Super 15 next year.

OK so I am creating the fixtures on Google Calender.

Have done February so far but working my way through the rest of them.

Why do all the games seem kick off at strange times.

I am just rounding down to the nearest half hour and adding 2 hours onto that. It seems easiest.

Or am I making a grave mistake

As I've done for many years, the Super 14 fixtures list is laboriously typed up in CSV format for easy import into Outlook and other calendars.

Download here.

Simply import into Outlook calendar. CSV Windows format.

I've set a reminder for kick-off time for each game except the 04h30 one in Queenstown on 10 April - it's just too early for me (though I hope Western Force beat the Highlanders).

Enjoy!

Beers welcome.

This should be stickied now and the Trinations one unstuck.

Friday it all starts. I came across a News24 blog:

He fancies Crusaders, Bulls and Brumbies plus one of Waratahs and Hurricanes for the final four, Crusaders to take it. Gotta disagree with him.

I see a final four comprising Chiefs, Crusaders, Bulls and one of Sharks/Hurricanes IF the Sharks shape up properly for their home games. They have a challenge on Saturday and must not be complacent about a home ground advantage.

I do agree with his Stormers views though...

Think the Bulls and stormers are the two sides to watch from SA.

Crusaders look more potent with dan carter looking to regain top form :(

Brumbies are always a top contender from Aus.

Hope the sharks shape up and we can have 3/4 seni finalists :p:D

\\end wishful thinking :o

I just don't see the Stormers making an impact. Sorry for their fans. I do hope I am wrong because it would be great to see that 3/4 semi-final.

As for the Crusaders - the point is taken but he is still looking for that form. Until he gets to top form, and has a similarly equipped team behind him, the Crusaders have to work to be a potent threat. We'll only really know this after their third outing, a home berth against the Sharks. They would have to crush the Sharks before they convinced me and I just don't see that happening.

If he continues to regain for he will be at top form in 2-4 weeks time.

Also I rate the stormers above the Sharks as they now have a very potent backline and a great pack of forwards who do the basics. Also the fact that they have created some depth in most positions is great.

I am scared the bulls are a bit tired but I doubt it. Hope the sharks perform and hope the lions and cheetahs beat some NZ and Aus teams and don't only look like beating the other SA teams

Yes -agreed. I certainly share this frustration. On the plus side, one of my church buddies has secured some box space at loftus for the year. Can't wait to go...

Nice I have secured some Main-stand season tickets :D

I am myself a bulls supporter but FFS the Easten pavilion regularly plays host to "common" people.

Funny you should say that.
Few years ago, me and one of my best friends(black) went to watch Bulls vs Cheetahs. We had some nice box seats and were enjoying every moment of it. Cheetahs losing was sad though.
So 4 rows back there was this staunch Bulls supporter from the plaas. He still had his vellies and a comb stuck in the side of his socks and not to mention the belly.
Every time the Bulls would knock a ball or miss a tackle he would shout "Blerrie Dammit". Until Mametsa knocked a pass that would easily have led to a try. He stood up and shouted "Blerrie Dammit K*ffer, jy gaan ons die game kos as jy so k*k vang".
His wife knocked him in the ribs with her elbow and told him: "Moenie so sê nie, daar sit een daar voor."
Me and my friend burst out laughing and just looked at him with this Oh-crap-what-did-I-say-now look on his face.

My friend does not feel offended by the term and just laughed it off.
The funniest part for me is the fact that his wife told him not to say that. Not because it is wrong, but because there is one that could hear her husband. :D

Albert van den Berg is heading to Japan, good luck to him.

Cant wait for next week, Sharks got to shape up this season. Main thing is we need to kill off the opposition, winning is good but if we scored 3 tries by the 55-60min we have to get number 4. Last season too many times we didnt get that 4th try and in the end bonus points cost us badly!

Careful - some of us are common people. I enjoy the East side when the weather plays up...
