Those guys seem like good value to me. If you consider it in Downing's (a new currency I invented) Tiote = 1 Downing -> great value.

Baines = 1 Downing -> good value.

Modric +- 1.5 Downings -> terrific value.

That's if you base it on Downing units :P but yeah. We know how that worked out.

Yeah Fergie has said he doesn't see the need for a CDM. Luckily Strootman isn't 100% a CDM, more of a box to box midfielder. He's very good. Can get stuck in and tackle, but can also help out with attack.
