Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Not sure hey just saw it showed MW and Fortnite I think it was having 160ms to EU and I was like okay that is not right. They have had the direct connect on in the past though. Saves them international bandwidth just like cloudflare warp. Traffic gets handed over at peering in JHB and Cloudflare or in this case Amazon is responsible for the routing and transit after that.

Cool Ideas and Afrihost also direct connect with Amazon I believe. ISPs will be stupid not too because then they would need to transit it to EU. $$$$
I just pinged that IP and it was 166ms average but now imagine my disappoint when I just realised the Apex London server isn't AWS, it's a company called RapidSwitch.

Frankfurt is the closest AWS server.

It's probably due to AWS Cape Town being active now.

I can't believe Apex doesn't use AWS London but EA gonna EA, using this other provider probably saves them like 4c a year and that's enough for them.

@Soul Assassin Vox working fine for you now? My pppoe session keeps dropping and not sure if it's my router or the Vox account or the network.

EDIT: nvm it seems sorted

Did Cybersmart also just cancel your 20GB Free account?

They claimed that I had signed up for multiple accounts with them and showed me a list. They were all accounts that were opened ages ago through those Incredible Connection Cybersmart vouchers from back in the day.

So clearly after your account expires they retain the info as if you're still an active client.

Mine still works but Vox has better latency.

Yes a capped account that I cancelled in December so they reckon I created more than one account also did not provide RICA documents.

Good day

Services have been reinstated - there was a matter of a problem account in your name going back to December last year that needed to be cleared

Regards

Team Cybersmart

Mine's still working as well.

I know now never to sign up for any paid Cybersmart services with them in the future. I might get billed for an account I signed up for like 10 years ago.

If I had anything to do with Cybersmart I would lay awake every single night because of that website.

Does anyone know what the cancellation window is for a data account (fatpipe)? I'm guessing if I cancel now I will still need to pay for May? I did try contacting support...

Calendar month, but they waved mine when I moved to an uncapped fibre account with them.

I noticed a 110Mbps cap on the FatPipe account. Anyone else with a 200Mbps fibre can confirm?

Look at this horror show.

Let's go to Angola then New York then London then finally France!
