Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Super *** tonight. Don't stream anytHing usually but wanting to watch some soccer. Crashing every 5 minutes. What has happened?

Yeah, new problems.
The connection is unusable at present, any feedback on the current issue?

BTW, why are there two VOX threads?

Grrrr... and now VOX completely unusable.

Any resolution ETA would be very appreciated. Chris, where are you when we need you most!

If IPC capacity issues, then grrrrrrr and meh.

Uhm... I am a bit confused how do TI ISP issues affect me on my VOX accounts.

From that article you linked to;

Telkom said its points of presence in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban were up.

However, some customers in the Northern Region of the country experienced intermittent or slow connectivity.

Engineers are working on identifying the problem and will resolve it as quickly as possible, said Telkom.

So, just how does this reduce my VOX accounts here in CT to unusable? Afrihost had this with their IPC capacity issues and it feels like that all over again.

How is it that you are the only ISP that has slowed down to a crawl and all the other ISP's are working like it should...
The "further communication" that you are referring to states that the issue is only in Gauteng but most of the MyBB post here in this thread seems to be Cape Town users...

So in short.

1. You are the only ISP affected by this issue.
2. You are referring to wrong incidents for wrong areas of South Africa.

You are feeding us lies, I believe you are experiencing IPC capacity issues.

Yup, I'm in Cape town too and I may as well be on a 14400 modem.

Vox dead for me too.
Ditto.

DNS issues? I set my DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and it seems to work now and then ...

/Edit. Nope, does not seem so. But DNS is def an issue atm, though may be a symptom of something else.

Upstream issues.

Websites going via Cloudflare reach it, but after that dies on Cloudflare

Is there anything in the RSA network related that is reliable? Sigh ....

Another total outage, can get some local traffic though.

Not impressed

Also in Cape Town and Vox is dead :( Strange though that some sites works and others don't. I can get into MYBB but news24, the tube, etc. are all dead. Also seems like ABSA is no longer secure when trying to log onto their site for internet banking.

Good day all

Vox Telecom services are currently impacted as a result of a failure with the upstream network providers, SEACOM and WACS. Upstream provider engineers are currently attending.

Michael
