Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Lol i bought as well. Crazy amount of bandwidth available. Wonder whats the catch.
 
I think somebody messed up somewhere. No one offers 1tb of data for free. Non of the isps are so generous. Somebody is going to get into s****t on monday. Lmao
 
They won't bill you, It will simply be removed from your account and the Top ups menu fixed.
 
When I asked support yesterday the person I talked to said that this option is normally only available to people who are moving to fibre as a once off bonus. So yes, someone messed up.

So they will either revert the data (most probable) or let it slide.

Either way, even the invoice I got today said R0. I only did it once though.
 
I'm still having issues with my VOX Fatpipe account. Everything basically works that I normally browse/use, except for store.steampowered.com.

I can login to Steam via the client, but the store page doesn't load for me :(

Switching to my Telkom account, it works. It's really weird though. Suppose I must just switch to Google's DNS servers, which I'll do so now.

EDIT: After a router restart, now it's working :D

Is it plugged in ?

They can't revert the data, if it was legitimately purchased at R0 and you received an invoice it belongs to you. Their loss as thats what was advertised.

Well I see they finally removed that option on the top-up. Will be interesting to see what happens, if anything.

Well I took one earlier just to see what would happen as my roll over data is already maxed out. I was surprised to see that it added it anyway giving me 3.4TB rather than the 2.4TB max I expected. If it disappears now It could be because they removed it or because I have exceeded the maximum rollover. If it stays I doubt I will ever get round to using it as I never actually reach my cap.
 
I see they removed it. But the data stayed. That was a huge mess up. They billed me R0 X a few topups so it will be interesting to see on 1 May, what my cap will be. But this is definitely a mess up of note. That engineer is going to get a good talking to on monday by his manager.

Edit: Rebooting router does not solve this for me
 
I also did a topup, i don't mind if it gets reverted, long as it was noticed in time and fixed.

In other news, vox's site is down.

Edit: seems main page, can access coverage map and customer portal fine. Maybe they updating the site :)

The only thing that fixed it for me was to manually set my DNS addresses in my router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively. After applying the change, I restarted my router and all was working again :)
 
Okay - odd problem.
I've been on the phone with Vox and Telkom for the last 24 hours and no luck.
I've got an ADSL line as well as a Fat Pipe Account. My ADSL Line rental goes through Vox as well. I just pay telkom the basic line rental stuff.
I phoned Vox to figure out why my ADSL stopped working yesterday morning. They told me everything is in order and should be working. Then I phoned Telkom to ask why my ADSL is not working and they said the ADSL Service has been suspended. I phoned Vox back to tell them what Telkom said and they said it's impossible. Landline voice is working fine.
 
what is the policy with once of top ups? is that data mine until i use it all up?
 
Anybody else have authentication issues?

My fatpipe account doesn't want to connect this morning :mad:

Telkom account working without any issues...
