Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Decided to check out this "ACE Stream" that you're talking about, and holy crap... it looks awesome :D

/me downloads ACE stream :)

Biggest problem is finding streams as they tend to be created on the fly for a particular event and then removed.

I use it mainly to follow F1 but it also worked well last weekend for Indy500.

I normally find the stream addresses on Reddit but many "dubious" sites list streams for most soccer matches and sports channels.

Have fun, I was sceptical at first but now that I am used to it I am very glad I installed it.

Shaping is active again tonight.

I have been watching a P2P (ACE) Stream all day with no problems or buffering.
Suddenly at 5:45 the stream just stopped with no warning.
Trying to restart returned No Streams (peers) Found.

Loaded up the Telkom account and tried again and instantly saw 20 Peers and Began streaming at 800KBs.

VOX claim not to shape fat pipe but how else can the line profile suddenly change to drop all P2P traffic when the same line works fine on an different ISP account?

They have done it again, second night in a row, they dropped all peers at 5:35 this time.
Once again Telkom account is working fine with 30 active peers.

If I have to use my Backup account every evening then why am I paying for a primary account at VOX.
The Data rollover is pointless If I can never actually use it.

Do all traffic from all ISP's route through Barrack? I am in search of a secondary capped account. Cancelled CW and AH been trying Axxess but its a no from me. Ideally I want another ISP that is routed differently if it is possible at all.

Sorry bit of a noob.

Also saw my line shaped not P2P though, NNTP. was at full speed when I started it early in the evening. Got home at around 2:00 and it was crawling.

The usage tracker hasn't updated since Saturday on my side.

Broken in Durban again. No data throughput but can connect to ISP.

Yip, Vox must not like the cricket or something. Dad was streaming via Supersport and got cut off. Silly Vox . Tested quickly via LTE on TM and it worked so changed to Telkom Internet account and back streaming.

Unless there is an issue reported that affects us in a region, they don't. Where you trying to download from?

Not necessarily from one place, on all downloads. Even last night when I was streaming, it buffered quite a bit. Change the account details and no buffering issues.

Try Google or OpenDNS when on Vox, that sometimes helps. There was an issue on Sunday but as said in the other thread it is fixed. Will switch over today and test again :).

PM what you want me to test.

What the heck is up with Vox today?

Cannot connect to Netflix, no matter what DNS servers are specified.

Backup Afrihost account is working just fine.

Requested cancellation. The ADSL account works fine, but I can only take so much administrative incompetence.
