better? Keep in mind these are local pings, not international.

Erm having one or two spikes is perfectly normal, especially over the 10 minutes you're running it, pings have the least priority on the network. That average is within 1-2ms of the min, so it's fine. You also have no packet loss. I seriously don't see the problem unless your ping spike persists over a couple of seconds, which I can't see from the graph below which shows a distinct lack of spikes.

And yes, they are obviously local if you managed to get a min of <30ms. :p

lol...normal...If it was normal it would happen on my WA account as well...and yet it doesn't. Also not able to play on this account at all due to lag...not normal at all.

second one is at first hop, ping bras.afrihost.com as well, it's your exchange and see if that spikes as well. Could be the routing equipment, was a case of this in the Afrihost thread once, it only affected the client on Axxess/Afrihost and I think WA packages.

Vox international 1500kb, box local 9mb. Both on a 40mb VDSL line.
But pretty smooth up until a few days ago.

Mine's still Effed. Seems like it might be limiting my connection to the slowest of my concurrent connections... Going to test further.

Pretty happy with mine. Was using Axxess capped until it ran out. Back on Vox now with no issues. My VDSL line is still with Axxess.

Doubt it is the exchange as it was upgraded two weeks ago and my WA account works perfectly when this one does not. That said I will test it in any case to make sure. Over the weekend I had no problems and zero spikes on Vox so will test during the week. Thank you for the advice.

Hmm, still no word on this: click me?
I thought myBB would be on this in a flash, but no article - granted I have not bothered to check (and still don't feel like it even after posting here), but didn't see anything come through on the myBB "spam" email :) .

Well it would explain the bad service and poor speeds of the past few weeks.
If they are oversubscribing and cutting back on costs it will inflate profits for their Prospectus.
Looks good short term but screws the loyal customers long term.
They are eating into their goodwill to try and get a higher sort term return.

Heavy packet loss at what looks like the last local Vox IP: 41.193.119.21

Support just copy pasted 2 notices, 1 for WACS and the other for EASSY, both having international issues and are investigating (in other words, no ETA).

Meh.

Logged a ticket with support on the 26th regarding some billing issues. No replies what so ever. Phoned them, mailed them, chatted on live with them and still no reply from Vox regarding the issue.

Meh.

I chatted to them yesterday and they said the issue on the international links had passed.

Its still *** slow.

Is there anyone else here that is getting routed through Joburg to Europe? I'm in C.T and its adding extra latency on my connection. I have called twice and sent an email to there Help channel with no reply. I also even had an agent tell me "I must hire a private IT guy" to set up my router so I can route through WACS. :wtf::wtf:
