Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Anyone else suffering from erratic speeds the moment? One minute speeds are awesome then the next down the crapper.

There aren't any other routing issues in the western cape currently are there? been having issues lately regardless of account. Also seems like i'm not the only person experiencing it.

I've been having issues in PE for a week, on both VOX and WA, my 2 ISP's (love SA where you need a backup …).

Between 7pm and 11pm speeds and latency are all over the place.

Must be an openserve routing issue - doesn't seem to be ISP backhaul related imho.

Vox Roll-over data... it just rolled over and died

At the start of this month the 2TB+ accumulated rollover data that I've had for as long as I can remember just vanished.
I tried in vain, repeatedly(like running into a brick wall...repeatedly) to get some clarity from Vox on the issue. Just got the robotic explanation of "last month's rollover data going over to this month blah blah). As I understand it, when I'm on month 7, month 1's rollover data should expire What has happened to me, is that at the start of this month, my 2TB or more of rollover data just wasn't there anymore.
The Vox customer zone doesn't even show roll-over data anymore.
I'm getting ready to ditch this, as it can't be that hard for them to understand what I'm asking when I've already done it THREE times.

Has anyone else experienced this rollover data anomaly?

I remember this one time they had a bug where you could buy 2TB for R0 so naturally I bought a good couple of them. However you can only have a maximum of 6x your cap size at roll over time so at the end of that month it was trimmed down to 2.4TB as I am on a 400GB cap.

Going to check on the first again, currently have about 270GB in roll-over. Next month should be just under 370 GB (on a 300GB cap).
No problem with it currently.

Also, it shouldn't expire, it should just add up to 6x cap. If you downgrade your current, then the excess that's over 6x your cap gets lost/removed.

Same here. For the cap, not the rollover data. Rollover data for me was that amt. for a very very long time, now it's just vanished into thin air.

With all the hassles I have had with them this year the rollover data is my only real reason for staying.
If that goes I will go too and move to a fiber provider.

My international access is acting weird. Getting intermittent connections. Downloads stop and start, websites timeout and then load. Anybody else getting the same? Having tried restarting my router, will do so and post back. Using my 400GB Fatpipe account.

Yes, same happening to me. Swapped to my Afrihost backup and everything running smoothly now.

I was having similar issues with my Vox Fatpipe account, but everything worked perfectly with my Axxess and Webafrica accounts. I reported it to Vox and they called me saying that everything is fine with the account, there could be a problem with the line. The strange thing is after that my Vox account is working fine. It seems like they fixed something after I complained but did not admit that there was a fault on their side.

Vox FP 200 gb Rollover seems fine..

What the heck is going on with Vox? Seems every evening for over a week it goes to complete crap between 19:00-21:00.

Why is it going to Maputo? Why is my 10mb line behaving so poorly...

I think it is shaping.
I lost everything apart from HTTP and email last night streams were at a max of 30KB/s.
Speed test still showed in excess of 10Mb/s.
I activated a VPN, which they cant packet sniff to shape, and streams immediately jumped up to 600KB/s.

Anyone else having unreliable internet connection? Mine just seems to drop every now and then. Going to try Afrihost.
