Official Web Africa thread

Same here business capped account at premium price paid been slow all week. Absolute joke!
Held 3 times for "support" each time for 10 minutes, and simply no answer. Cell phone calls also cost money!
We pay for a premium service and get zero support. Sort your issues out webafrica!
Same on my side. Waiting for openserve to contact me.

I don't think it's Openserve where. I've tried multiple paths in, and it's all **** as soon as it hits the ISP.
As far as I know openserve provide the fibre to webafrica as well as quite a few of the other isps. They are also having problems.

Same here in Southern suburbs CT, international traffic has been slow all week long on my WA Home capped account.

Same in PE for about a week.

Netflix and bandwidth intensive tasks like downloads seem fine, but websites are slow as f*** and many don't resolve.

Come on WA - your technical team must have an idea of what is going - kindly give the forum an update on what steps are being taken to resolve this.

I will be cancelling tomorrow due to the calendar month notice period. If they resolve it soon I will stop the cancellation, if not then we'll switch end March.

Where are you going to move to? The problem doesn't seem to lie with any specific ISP. It's something more widespread than that. My best guess would be a Openserve/Telkom problem, but as far as they're concerned, everything is perfect.

:(

Nowhere atm. Just getting the calendar month thing sorted in case I want to.

I can't even log in to one of London Rackspace hosted web servers.

Does anybody have a clue wtf is going on with with openserve Cape Town, everyone is complaining, something is borked last week +-

WA capped down now for me totally.

DSL Sync Fine.

Won’t connect. Somebody just broke something. Way to go. Take a bow.

Screw this WA.

The past day or two some sites has been exceptionally slow on my WebAfrica Home Capped Pro account. eg. Facebook, YouTube, gmail.
Every now and then it recovers.

My gaming and downloading has not been affected.

I see other people also reported issues in the Cape Town vicinity on other ISP accounts. eg from this post and onwards https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showth...om-Fatpipe?p=21174623&viewfull=1#post21174623

We have had some IS issue - all of which are resolved - please restart your devices and test connection performances

Thanks. Was this issue perhaps resolved at around 13:10 today?

If so, I would love to get more information, since one of my office's clients had issues on IS today between 08:20 - 13:10. This may be completely unrelated.

I'm not sure what is going on, but the issue is clearly not fixed.

My CS:GO latency to a local server ranges from 80 - 220ms, where it used to be 20-40ms:

I'm getting the exact same in PE - streaming seems to be fine, webpages load, but gaming on local servers is a pain.

HI
