Offsidestreams & NTV Streaming Live TV

NTV looks decent, and has many of the channels I have been looking for, but unfortunately it is not in HD. Does anyone know if they are planning to provide HD channels?

UPDATE: NTV Price has been reduced to E14.49 p/m, +- R190.41 p/m
Offsidestreams: New channel lineup - NBC Sports, Fox Sports 1 and ESPN1

Now that is decent price! Will definitely consider taking them on full time now!

Also like the poster about - some HD content would be great!

Signed up for OffsideStreams. Seems like my football for the EPL season will be provided for. Only thing I need now is a schedule for each channel! :D I'm sure I'll find something on the interwebz...:)

Again, how would I be able to cancel an OffsideStreams subscription when there is neither a working email address nor a support plattform?!

Opening Post updated for info on how to cancel.
Step 3 might help if the others don't work.

Step 2 won't work because the Zendesk license has expired and you can no longer submit new tickets.

Updated OP
You can login to their channels page and then they have a chat box. You can give your queries there. They are very responsive.

Stupid question Gents,

If I were to subscribe to Offsidestreams, and use the XBMC plugin via my HTPC, is there anyway I could view this via the Plex client on my Roku 3?
The HTPC does not have XBMC installed on it currently?

Nope. Plex doesn't handle live RTMP streams very well. I could probably get a channel working for the desktop clients but live streams won't work on other devices like mobile apps and Roku (basically any device that needs a transcoded stream).

So an update.

Was away for the long weekend so could only test yesterday. I was able to watch The Ashes and PGA without any problems at all. All streams worked flawlessly which is a huge plus. Also watched some FOX UK and Discovery which also worked perfectly, all in all am very happy with the service and the price is perfect.

Also would like to know if there is any way to get EPG data as this was was the only problem for me.

On a side note, when new channels are added, do they automatically appear? I am using the XBMC plugin.

I just signed up for NTV using the link provided but did not recieve the two weeks free - is there something else I need to do? I have installed the XBMC add-on but can only view the free channels, when I try a premium one it tells me to please subscribe. Anyone able to get the two weeks free working?

Their website on the far right has an activate trial button. Once you click it, it will send you an SMS code for verification. Input that, and your trial starts immediately.

Personally I found that NTV buffers horribly on my 2Mb line, although my line is quite horrible at the moment so probably not their doing. Means their service is unusable for me, but I really do like how easy and functional it is...

Yeah I saw that button but it only gives you 7 days where the OP said use the link to get 2 weeks. Anyway I just want it for the free BBC channels anyway.

On the buffer side, I tested a few of the free channels and they play perfectly. I am on a 4mb line syncing at 6mb tho.

DJ no buffering what-so-ever this side of town. weelzSA - also see that the trial is one week. Which is fine, as they more than halved their subscription costs, so i will be signing up if the SO is happy with the service after we test it out for the next week.

Here is a post of my account details when I signed up for the 2 week trial from the OP.

I registered with the OP link, then I confirmed the email they sent me & typed in username/password in the website, no sms or trial button used. They might have changed it when they lowered the prices.

The plugin gets automatically updated to a new version when available if you also have the repo installed.
When a new plugin is available and it doesn't automatically update, you can go to system-addons-get addons, right click on the repo and choose Force Refresh & Check for Updates.
For EPG see next post.
