Does anyone know where I can get some old laptop battieries? Even if they are completely dead its fine, I'm busy with a project and we need a couple...

Please send me a PM if you know of somewhere, or someone, or even If you have some lying around...

Would really appreciate it

What do you want them for?

If its safe/green/for a good cause, I might be able to refer you to someone.

Any old batteries will do.. even dead ones guys

In addition to my post above, I need a battery pack for Lenovo Thinkpad T500. Please post what you have for Lenovo, as other models use the same battery.

Hey bud :) Do you need a working pack?
And are you still looking for one of those old 10,6V ones? Are they NiMH? I threw about 50 packs away of NiMH :/

Not. Looking for a working battery pack for T500. Even it keeps up for 5 minutes, no problem. I can't do firmware upgrade without a battery in the laptop. :)

BTW, All past two decades notebook batteries are lithium.

I might be possible to restore your battery assuming cells are still good, it was just discharged below certain limit and controller chip cut the feed. PM, currently busy, but I can look at during spare time. If you are near Midrand you can drop in.

Some other compatible batteries:
40Y6797 41N5666 45J7966 ThinkPad Battery 41++ (9 cell) T/R/W/Z/SL Series 9 cell

It might be more, not listed. Any battery pack marked IBM and Lenovo takes my attention. :)
