Old games - refurbished

A little while I downloaded Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2 from the incoming folder on UUNET's ftp. Played them both from start to finish, and enjoyed them thouroughly - the same way I did back in 199x.

Does anyone know of similar games that are slightly more modern? Ones that play the same kind of way?
 
Woodruff and the schnibble, one of the most enjoyable games i ever played, runs off the same kinda format like monkey island, made by Sierra.
Then theres full throttle, that game really rocked aswell, cant really think of others atm...

Yeeah i got a bit moerig trying to get the rc car outta the stadium, other than that totally brilliant! like that part where he grabs the dude by the noce ring and grinds his face into the bar counter? priceless!:D
