I had an old single port Telkom POTS Router in the cupboard.

This morning I wanted to commission a self install, got the old thing out to test the line, but suddenly can't get into it.

It powers up and the ethernet light comes on to show it's plugged into the switch, but I can't ping it, telnet into it or get a web interface.

Does anyone have an idea as to where I can download a manual?

I pressed the reset button in the hope that it would go back to 10.0.0.2 but that didn't work.

In Windows, open up the command prompt and type ipconfig. It should list a gateway IP, that of course will be your router's IP if it is still in a working order ;)

And what if the router's got DHCP disabled and isn't serving up IP addresses?

If memory serves me correct
