Old Telkom Technical Saying

This old saying was obviously only true when Telkom was not privatised. Nowadays incoming and outgoing calls get cut off at the drop of a hat and normally Telkom regards it as your fault and not theirs. So why raise this saying from the grave?
 
Well it's down to the way the exchange is set-up, and it is something that needs to be looked into, because if the person you phone, eg an ISP cannot cut you off, and if you do not terminate the call, how does the line get dropped if you are on the Telkom infinet call plan
 
I'm not surprised I had the same problem...I choose a new option to avoid this situation...But now I don't know anymore which is the best option, Especially no ADSL available
