Did you see that?
WOW @ flying dude & video projection.

Who's going to top that!?

I almost cried ... OK maybe not, but tears welled up in my eyes. It is a very emotional scene. It symbolizes the burning flame of the human spirit.

It. Was. The. Most. AWESOME ceremony I have EVER seen.

Amazing. The scroll on the floor was incredible  .

This (the games) is going to be awesome.

:D

Never mind, we have Marc Lottering and those people in the tiger skin leotards (I mean tigers!!?) for our WC 2003 cricket WC... who remembers the 2003 Cricket WC?

Unbeatable synchronization, amazing fireworks display, serious gas powered flame! I enjoyed the random order of athletes parading in, however it did get a little long there (was missing Tiesto music from Athens). Other than that, difficult to beat this one!

:D

bid?

you pay for what you get. a beijing ceremony costs money. spend the money people moan about housing. dont spend the money people moan about a low budget ceremony.

the only difference between a sydney 2000 and the cricket world cup ceremony was the budget. sydney cost about 300 million, the cricket world cup only had a 25 million budget.

top people , limited resources, limited budget.

For R25 million I would be able to find someone who realises that tigers aren't even African...
