I was under the impression that they still have it.The UK had that as well and on their "Freeview" option and it was set top box with a once off purchase and no monthly rental.
Well I won't pay for a set top box.
What happens if you don't watch SABC or you have DSTV....

I really hope so. I can't stand those stupid tv licence radio and tv adverts that they bombard you with every year. I still would like to know where they get the "equipment thats installed in their vans that can detect unlicenced tv tuners"Hmm, maybe this will be the death of tv licences?
