End of an era

It was with a certain measure of shock and regret that, in late-January 2009, Kiwi Extreme cc received correspondence from the Provincial Administration of the Western Cape (PAWC), the landlords of the Gouritz River Bridge jump-site

Their documentation requires all operations to cease and for the Gourits River Bridge to be vacated by no later that 28 February 2008.

We have been informed that the reason behind this decision is due to an engineer’s evaluation report indicating defects in the steel structure that make the bridge unsafe.

At the Gourits Bridge site we offer bungy jumping and a Bridge swing option from the 65 meter high Gourits Riverb ridges.

That doesn't make sense. In Jan 2009 they received correspondence to vacate no later than Feb 2008 WTF

I Have a week coming up in January after all the children and dogs are back in gauteng. I would love to go to Sodwana Lodge but they are booked. Were is nice places to snorkel and do stuff that does not involve shopping malls.

So what's your itinerary so far?

3 days in Plett, exploring Tsitsikamma Forest, Nature's Valley and Storms River, possibly got to BlouKrantz for a bungy (if I can convince myself to ) or for the cable slide and then another 3 days in PE at my friend's cousin's place for Addo, KaggaKamma and whatever else I can find along the road.

Car is damn economical, still got 176km range left after doing 750km.
