OnePlus 15

Coming from an S9 Samsung.... It's a little bit of an upgrade :D. Been using my phone off and on for the day, fully charged this morning, 80% charge as of right now. Not too bad

Happy days! Enjoy.
Thanks! :giggle: BTW I learned that transferring whatsapp from one Android to another was super simple - literally just select "transfer chats" in Whatsapp. Scan QR code and away you go. Took a few minutes and all done.

Not sure if my unit is faulty or not but my call quality is quite poor. If I use whatsapp the quality is alright, but the moment I bypass whatsapp and go straight to cellular it sounds really muffled. I've tried using the clear voice settings, turning on or off, made little difference to me.

Has anyone else found normal call quality to be muffled?

Ooof, that's not good.

Call quality on my OP12 is good but not excellent.

I often attribute it to the quality of our networks and/or the quality of the incoming call. A lot of companies and call centres use VoIP and I suspect the quality not to be particularly consistent. Pure speculation though.

I don't like using this thread for this but yeah:

OnePlus officially exits Europe and North America, will continue in India

OnePlus has announced that it will be exiting the European and North American markets. In a separate announcement, the company confirmed that its India operations will continue.

For European and North American markets, the company will no longer be releasing new products. However, existing devices will continue to receive software updates and security patches as per their schedule. Customer service channels will also remain open to honor warranty and support claims.

The North American Community website and app will shut down on August 16, 2026 at 11:59PM ET. However, the European Community and stores will remain open for now.

For the Indian market, the company has stated that it will continue its operations as per usual, with further product launches in the pipeline, including the upcoming OnePlus N6x.

I managed to cancel my import order!!! SAD, but so be it.
Why would you though?

I'm assuming you are based in South Africa?

OnePlus has never enjoyed any sort of local support structures.

Anyone and everyone owning an OP in SA is doing so with that added risk, that if something fails, getting it repaired would involve shipping their device off shore.

As far as OOS being replaced by coloursOS, the 2 operating systems have practically been identical for the best part of a year.

I'll use a motoring analogy, the difference is left hand drive vs right hand drive.

Anyway, I can understand your trepidation. It's not an insignificant investment and the waters have been muddied.

The only issue with ColorOS is bloat that comes bundled with it..
We will see when they update OP15 ...at least they promised a rollback option, but you will then be stuck with the last OOS version
