Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro

Yeah, mine is activated through NoLimits custom rom. The recorded file is no longer found in the recorder menu but in the Phone app, next to the dialed number listed in the call history, hit the 3 vertical dots to open the call details and at the bottom is the sub menu "call recording". The recording can be found and accessed there...
Cheers, found the recordings, thank you

I did a clean wipe of my phone after the update. Things are smoother now, but a different feeling.
I can now finally cast photos from my phone to the TV, so it looks like DLNA was fixed in this build.

I have one annoying notification in the bar, Whatsapp Web. Anyone know how to get rid of this notification?

And why is Google Play Music still here? FFS
Ok I thought I had this figured out...

Can anyone use wi-fi direct and share an image to their TV?

Apparently it’s no longer possible on Android 11. WiFi direct is still available but so that devices running Android 10 can share to devices running Android 11 but not vice versa.

Not sure if nearby share does something similar? Or if you could achieve the same result with screen cast?

It didn't work on A10 either. WiFi direct is only enabled when location services is enabled. Beyond that, it does nothing.

Nearby share only sends files but it cannot cast it.

Oh well, RIP WIFI direct...

First custom setup on Android 11, starting to warm to it. But root running flawlessly, Magisk Canary, ViPER4Android and Gcam running, xXx NoLimits custom rom mostly functional. Happy days....

I've rolled back to android 10. Finding 11 too buggy.

EDIT: So to elaborate on this, some of it might be my own doing. Don't think root and custom roms are optimized to run on A11 as yet. But over and above that I just feel like they trying too hard. Added a lot of glitz and glitter more for the sake of it rather than practical application. One example is the time displayed large in the notification panel as well as the unlock screen (probably easily changed or turned off but I didn't dwell on it). There seem to be more key presses required to perform certain functions and more aggressive notifications. I've had more app crashes too, certainly something which will be rectified with updates. Animations don't seem as smooth and responsive either (this for me is actually a deal breaker). Anyway, it feels more like a beta than a stable release but will no doubt improve over time.

Worth mentioning I did a fresh install so wiped everything and updated. There seem to camera crashing issues for many who dirty flashed. Also some are complaining about over heating. I didn't experience either. Also high battery drain. For me it was the opposite, SOT improved significantly. I love the new font and revamped camera app! The insight lockscreen clock is quite spectacular too. Love it!!

I do recommend doing a fresh install. I know it's a bit labour intensive and a bit of a pain but it's well worth it to run on a clean canvass. Making a backup alleviates some of the pain but for me that option isn't available (well, it is available with a bit of PT) on account of a bug that exists with Gsuite paid account and back ups. I need to deactivate fingerprint and passcode in order to force a manual backup. Something I forgot to do before wiping!! Noob...

EDIT: Oh, another plus, I found the fingerprint sensor to be a lot more responsive and accurate on A11. It's always been a little off for me on A10...

Ah yes, it's not just me then.

I never had any issues with the sensor until an update or two ago when it started acting up a bit. With the update to 11 it does indeed feel much better.

how has everyone been finding the update?

been holding off since its my daily and I do not want a worse experience.

My phone died a sudden death today. It rebooted while I was casting music. Then when I casted again, the screen went dark and a message saying something like critical error appeared and then switched off. I tried all button combinations to try and start it up again, but no luck. Dead as a doornail. I took it in to Vodacom and now have to wait for the verdict. :(

With Vodacom. I only googled afterwards. I was thinking of going there to try this in store if they haven't sent it away yet.
