Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro

Nice. I received a notification from Oxygen Updater this morning, so I'll probably do the update today. Apparently Color OS is is not everyone's cup of tee, and this version of Oxygen OS is a step in that direction. Do you like it?
I dunno. Too early to say.

After updating to android 12 last night via Oxygen Updater, Oxygen Updater says the following when I open the app:

Selected device mismatch
It looks like you've selected the wrong device: ""Oneplus 7T Pro", indtead of "OnePlus 7T Pro (India)". Change your selection in the app's settings to ensure you receive updates and notifications for the correct device.

I took care to check all options before updating. As I bought this phone form Vodacom on contract, I'm pretty sure this is the Global variant. So I'm unsure why, after updating to Android 12 with Oxygen Updater, I now have the Indian variant installed on my (supposedly) Global version of the Oneplus 7T Pro.

What happens when you check Oxygen Updater on your side after the update to Android 12?

I'm really enjoying this new update. Phone feels a lot more responsive, not that it was laggy before, just didn't know that it could be more responsive.
Just one or two things that are annoying:
- Photo app -> When you delete photos, you now have to do more PT when choosing to deleting everything from the device under "Recently Deleted".
- When you BT something, a device number displays, instead of the device name.

Definitely much better. I was a bit busy at work today and didn't use my phone much, but before I had to have battery saving mode on all the time.
Thanks

I'll check back with yall in a couple weeks to see if any bugs pop up etc

@poohbear69 @Viva @CamiKaze hows the update been treating you guys?
I love, love, love it!! Battery life has never been this good. And the little animations are the cherry on the cake. I don't have to run it hobbled now. I was looking at what phone to upgrade to before, but I think I'll hang on to this phone a little while longer.

I updated a couple of days ago. Was reluctant to cause I hated A11 and actually rolled back to A10, rooted and running beautifully, with a xXX NoLimits custom rom.

So I run the A12 update and tried retaining root, so dirty upgrade. I failed dismally and ended up doing a fresh install. Rooted and loaded magisk. Running beautifully. Super fast and responsive and some significant changes coming from A10.

I root primarily for Viper4android, Gcam camera module, custom font manager, debloater, ad-less YouTube. Most of that isn’t working the way I expected, or at all but the rom is good enough to stay on. Won’t be rolling back anytime soon.

So got a Gcam module working on it, with little to no effort. Working well.

Debloater as well, little to no effort right out the box. Debloater and Vanced manager go hand it hand to get ad-less Youtube working, which now it does.

Viper4Android proving a lot tricker as is always the case with it. Got a one stop solution off of XDA which does the trick with minimal fuss but things are behaving a little erratically since installing. Not sure if it's on account of all the tinkering I did before applying the one stop solution or not but... warrants further investigation but Viper is a pain, I won't lie, well worth it though!!!

Custom fonts are a no dice. Fonts work very differently on A12 apparently so it might be a while, although I see another update for Font Manager module so let me get cracking on that and see if it works....

lol you do a thread documenting this or a youtube channel

Okay I have updated. For some reason the time in the status bar feels small. Also my clock widget on the home screen is also small even with adjustment.

Things I have noticed:
-screenshot does not appear in notification tray to share
-wifi & BT icons in status bar do not show connection status
-clock sizing is off
