They don't mess about.
I would think so. Just a matter of getting the info to the right people. There must be a market for them? A chunk of aging 4 year old 7t pros out there I'm sure? Such a great phone still.
yuuuup mine is not that. time for you to replace.2% at 7h36... Battery is cooked on this device. Running stock, not root, locked bootloader.

thats awesome, glad 1+ got back on trackThing is an absolute beast. Been on it the entire day. Small learning curve.
Only caveat to date, android 14 kills animations in 3rd party launchers. Horrible experience. But stock is unreal. UNREAL! Don't think I'll be rooting.

1) Did you get the Oxygen OS preflashed?
2) How long did the order take from placing to delivery roughly?
3) what was the cost of the phone and what was the delivery and customs total all in?
4) what delivery option did you go with?
5) I saw your AliExpress link, was that specific store Shenzhen Hongtian Technology a decision or was it a price+reviews+delivery gamble?
Thanks!

Price? all said and done around R15k, hence use the above link/reseller....
So much has been written about the phone to date, most of it glaringly positive. There is much to see.Thank You for this.
Nanozee is on my watchlist as I was wondering whether with Customs etc it would be worth the hassle.
Have you discovered any other OnePlus / CN version quirks apart from funky animations so far?

I like to tinker when I get bored and that usually involves rooting and custom launchers, Viper4Android, Gcam modules, Call recorder etc etc etc
Fluidity is a priority to me. It's why I used an iPhone for so many years. I've never used a 3rd party launcher that outperforms OP's stock launcher, in the fluidity department.
Nova, Lawnchair, Niagara all come extremely close. Squarehome launcher is a ways off but still my favourite launcher.
So OP 12 stock launcher is mind-blowingly good!! It is at risk of becoming over engineered though. A tinkerer like me though, likes to be able to customize elements on the homescreen and lockscreen. This is an area where Oxygen OS is still a bit limiting but the attention to animations is unparalleled. It may have reached a tipping point. Many developers are guilty of over doing the animations.
For the time being I won't be rooting the OP 12. Vanilla is good enough, more than good enough!! It gets a bit tedious mucking around with Play integrity fix to keep Google Wallet/Pay working, there are no Gcam modules currently, that outperform the native shooter and Call Recorder unrooted version works well enough. I have a single custom font installed using OP's Theme Store app, again no root required. There is no fix for the 3rd party launchers, rooted or unrooted, although some folk claim QuickSwitch (rooted required) used in conjunction with Lawnchair 14, resolves the animation issues related to 3rd party launchers. Not enough reason for me to root at the moment... that might, no, that will change when I start getting bored... until then...
Viper4Android is probably what I'll miss the most! Won't be enjoying my sound like I used to, Dolby Atmos will have to do for now....
On a side this is my homescreen setup
Curved screen isn't an issue. Used to it since the 7T Pro is also curved as was the 7 Pro I used before that.Yasis, you making me jealous. I couldn't resist the cracker deal I got for the S24 Ultra, hence I now want to play around with it for a few weeks or months.
What Call Recorder are you using on your OP12?
Are you used to the curved screen look and feel?
These are the 2 issues that are just holding me back
Do some comparison with the 7TPNot blown away by the cameras on the OP12. Was expecting more if I'm being honest. But there is a post processing menu in the native photos app that can absolutely transform images...
Yeah, good idea, I may at some stage...Do some comparison with the 7TP
