Not surprising, unfortunately :(

Have you got your new unit, and does it work properly?

Nope. It's being collected by the courier today and will be then sent to hong kong. From there, they'll send the "new" unit to my postal forwarder in the US and then here. So, probably still quite a while.

I'm also not even sure if I'll open the new one. Might sell it or trade it.

Quite annoying that they're pushing 11s updates. They're already behind on the 12s update. The amount of fury over their tardiness is immense. You'd think that they wouldn't allow an OTA update to appear right now, which would make OPO owners rejoice and then quickly seethe with anger when they realise what it is.

I haven't received any OTA updates lately though.

Cyanogen were hoping for the OPO to be a showcase for their skills, but it's possible its done them more harm than good. Even I, a long term user and proponent of CM, wouldn't recommend that any manufacturer touch their software in the future.

what do you make of Microsoft's investment in Cyanogen? you think it will help or harm them, in the long run?

MS couldn't care less. They just want a foot in the door if something promising develops. They receive more money from patent licenses granted to Android than they do from Windows Phone.

Cyanogen have probably killed themselves with their new direction. They think they can steal Android away from Google, but haven't considered two things: people want Google's services and Google can adjust the Android agreements at any time to prevent such behaviour.

Only problem if you want to buy in the UK they have no stock there and have had no stock there since Thursday .

Shouldn't affect most people, seeing as they use mail forwarding services based in the States.

I have yet to receive the new cm11s update but I am disappointed in CM for not getting cm12s out already. Let's see what tomorrow brings for Oxygen.

I got the 11s OTA update this morning. Apart from the AudioFX improvement it seems like nothing has changed. It's really frustrating that Cyanogen would spend their time on this crap rather than get 12s out sooner.
