Ongoing Israeli-Palestinian Violence

Well, as I'm sure you know, Gaza is completely Judenrein. But the final status of erstwhile Jordanian ruled W.Bank and erstwhile Egyptian ruled Gaza has to be decided when/if the Arabs ever sign a final peace treaty.

Netanyahu has already stated there will never be a two state solution, there will never be a one state solution.

More dishonesty, this time in the form of a strawman. What the law mandates is not at all the same as the reality on the ground. And where did I disbelieve the PA law? Comprehension issues?

And nah, that sounds like standard political rhetoric. Much like the Rabbis and lawmakers you dismiss who call for the genocide of Palestinians.

Yeah, I'm sure Palestine will get their independence if they stop resisting. It happened in the 40 years that Hamas didn't exist, right? Israel stopped expanding their settlements, right? Oh wait, no it didn't and no they haven't.

And you hold Israel to the same standard you hold Hamas. No wonder you don't mind them killing civilians en masse.

Projection much? You hurl insults, I refute them and then you come with another salvo of completely unsubstantiated craziness. I challenge you to quote where I wrote that I don't mind "them killing civilians en masse." You seem to be unable to comprehend the notion that one side has laws mandating equality while the other has laws mandating death. I'm still waiting on your response to the quote from the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, "that Israel went to "extraordinary lengths" to limit civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza and that the Pentagon had sent a team to see what lessons could be learned from the operation."

Netanyahu has already stated there will never be a two state solution, there will never be a one state solution.

And the various Palestinian factions have stated policy of either killing all Jews, or merely destroying Israel.

So if there is absolutely nothing to gain by complying with everything Israel demands why should they bother ?

And why should Israel bother when Hamas wants all Jews dead while "moderate" Fatah merely wants the destruction of Israel.

What insults? That you have comprehension issues? That seems quite clear for two reasons. I already responded to Dempsey's claim, and nowhere did I deny what the law mandates or the Palestinian law. Learn to read, as you seem unable to comprehend that what the law says and what the reality is are quite different.

Oh, and would you care to point me in the direction of your condemnation of Israel's mass killing of civilians? I suspect I'll only be presented more apologetics and blame-shifting.

Why don't you compare the amount of Palestinian civilian deaths against the amount of Israeli civilian deaths in the last couple of decades?

So then the children must just continue getting bombed from either side.

'if you do everything we want you are still going to get nothing'

How mature.

If Hamas doesn't start firing their Iranian-made missiles into Israel, Israel wouldn't need to respond. Israel does have the right of self defence. Hamas' use of human shields is to blame for the death of civilians.

"Israel went to "extraordinary lengths" to limit civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza and that the Pentagon had sent a team to see what lessons could be learned from the operation." - Army General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,

Not wanting to be murdered or destroyed isn't asking too much, surely?

Only counts when it's Israelis in the firing line, eh? What about Palestinian civilians who don't want to be murdered and everything they have destroyed?

Get some perspective. Israel crushed the Arab armies that attacked them. Hamas have absolutely no capacity to 'destroy' Israel, and won't soon have.

For Israel's own safety concerns they need to create a prosperous and progressive Palestine, where Hamas have no legitimacy. Killing thousands of Palestinians only gives them more recruits.

Hamas' use of human shields is to blame for the death of civilians.

Israel's use of artillery knowing full well Hamas is surrounded by hostaged civilians is to blame for the death of civilians.

So, if Israel has confirmed the Palestinians will not get what they want regardless of how much they comply with what Israel wants - how can they tell Hamas that stopping the attacks on Israel will bring independence ?

I wonder if the families of these people murdered for selling land to Jews would agree with your claim that "the reality is quite different."

"On May 5, 1997, Palestinian Authority announced that the death penalty would be imposed on anyone convicted of ceding "one inch" to Israel. Later that month, two Arab land dealers were killed. A year later, another Palestinian suspected of selling land to Jews was murdered. In October 2004, Palestinians who allegedly sold land to Jews were killed.[32] In April 2006, Muhammad Abu al-Hawa was tortured and murdered in Jericho for allegedly selling an apartment building in an Arab neighborhood of Jerusalem to Jews. He was buried in Jericho rather than Jerusalem, as the Palestinian Authority's mufti in Jerusalem had banned all Muslims accused of selling land to Jews from being buried there.[33][34] On April 2009, a Palestinian Authority military court sentenced an Arab from Hebron to death by hanging for the "crime" of selling land to Jews in the West Bank.[35] At one such case, an arrest by the PA of Arabs who did sell to Jews, the community of Jewish settlers in Hebron sharply protested, declaring: "We call upon the government to accept the racial hatred prevalent in the PA."[36]

You wrote, "No wonder you don't mind them killing civilians en masse." I challenge you, again, where did I ever write that?
I'll take it that you are unable to refute the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, "that Israel went to "extraordinary lengths" to limit civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza and that the Pentagon had sent a team to see what lessons could be learned from the operation."

Not going to happen...the hard liners are firmly entrenched on both side of the divide...the circus will continue...a spike here, a spike there...but the madness will go on, where/when it will end...your guess is as good as mine...

Your claim that Israel is to blame ignores the fact that Hamas not only started the war, but used human shields.

Again, I bring your attention to this:
The highest-ranking U.S. military officer said on Thursday that Israel went to "extraordinary lengths" to limit civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza and that the Pentagon had sent a team to see what lessons could be learned from the operation.

What exactly have the Palestinians complied with? Their stated aim is either the death of all JEWS or the destruction of Israel?

Instead of just repeating your comments from a US officer who wasn't even there how about you answer the question posed.

If Israel has confirmed the Palestinians will not get what they want regardless of how much they comply with what Israel wants - how can they tell Hamas that stopping the attacks on Israel will bring independence ?

You haven't been able to, even once, express negativity towards Israel for anything. I'll just take it that you don't mind them killing civilians.

That quote is meaningless. Did he do an actual study? What was his methodology? Oh no, wait, he didn't. It's political rhetoric. Just like the Israeli Rabbis and politicians that call for genocide.

The quote from the top US military official is not meaningless, however your bluster and unsubstantiated accusation is.

Instead of just repeating your comments from a US officer who wasn't even there how about you answer the question posed.

I ask again, What exactly have the Palestinians complied with? Their stated aim is either the death of all JEWS or the destruction of Israel? Your entire hypothesis of "Palestinians complying with what Israel wants" is false.

The quote from the top US military official as to how Israel went to "extraordinary lengths" to limit civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza and that the Pentagon had sent a team to see what lessons could be learned from the operation" refutes the unsubstantiated accusations made by some on this forum.

OrbitalDawn, I take it that your lack of response to the list of people murdered because they sold land to Jews is an admission that you were wrong when you stated that the "reality is quite different" with reference to the PA's anti-Jewish Land Laws.

Was this US military official there during the Gaza assault ? Yes or no .

As for the first question you seem to be deliberately playing dumb.

Let me try once more -

Netanyahu has stated categorically that Gaza will never gain independence and thus will always be under the thumb of Israel.

What reason then is there for hamas to change their policy towards Israel in any way.

It's not a difficult question.
