Timeline:
Ordered from Zenni: 23 Sept
Delivered to MyUS: 7 Oct
Shipped from MyUS: 12 Oct
Delivered to Jhb: 18 Oct

Potential ways to get it cheaper
1) Can chose normal Fedex shipping(5 days extra and $3 cheaper) rather than priority.
2) I prepaid Customs to MyUS as the glasses are classified as sunglasses due to the tinting. If the amount was over the MyUS estimate, MyUS would have covered the difference. You can roll the dice with SARS but it may add a time delay.
Adding in the R99 for the eye test, it was alot cheaper as my current pair was R3600 and is the same specifications as pair 1 above.

Will review quality sometime next week

Everything went super Smooth.

Prescription Sunglasses especially is very good.

So far holding up very well.

Holding up well with everyday use. Will add pics in a few minutes but it's a normal plastic frame. Really god transition in sunlight

It works out cheaper if you order more than 1 pair as the shipping cost is more or less fixed.

My advice, try to pool with your SO/family and have patience

Spent nearly R1 300 less than you, but I got two pairs of prescription glasses and a spare of the frames I wear on the daily... You know, in case I step or sit on them and they break etc, etc.

First pair I bought off Zenni was in 2018; around R800,00 to my door and, 'tho my prescription's changed since, they're still in a cupboard as a backup backup. Add my last order and I've spent about a grand more than you... but... for three pairs of really great prescription glasses and an extra pair of frames.

And, wouldn't you know, they've added extra colour options to my favourite frames, so these will be a random happy-Tuesday-Greg present to myself this year.



Cheaper than a happy-Tuesday lunch with a bottle or two of wine, and a lot more useful too.

Anyway, don't let me keep you from all of that plier-ing of hinges you're doing to keep your specs on the road.
