Hi guys & girls

I need same advice regarding an online purchase I made.

I placed my order on the Friday, the shop confirmed stock on the Tuesday and I made the EFT transfer on the Tuesday. A week later and they now claim that there is no stock of the item I purchased and suggested another item that I can buy for ±R250 more. However this is the exact same product. They have confirmed that the model number is the same as well as the technical specifications.

What to do? It might only be R250, but their lack of professionalism around this matter has now ticked me off.

Should I just ask my money back and visit the hellopeter site?

Tx

Which shop?

Let me guess....
Expanysis?
Wantitall?

Do tell, name and shame!!!! And post on hellopeter.com yes...

Yes, get your cash back, even if you would have to pay more on another site, a company like that doesn't deserve your business. Also, post their name here so that everyone knows not to shop there.

Get your cash back and please tell us who this company is so we can avoid them.

Don't pay with EFT. Pay with VISA or MC. Your bank would have reversed the charges.

Nice one Sybaritic, remind me not to buy from them. wasn't someone moaning about these oaks the other day?

I would make a stink if I were you, that is bull.

mmmm, that's disappointing. They usually reasonably good...

I also thought so, but heard a few complaints of late, not good.

I had a similar issue with Kalahari.net a few months back, they did the exact same thing to me, I went mental and made a big stink. Kalahari did a dam good job of sorting it out and in the end retained a customer, so I still shop with them.

If sybaratic are not going to solve these issues them people are not going to buy from them.

Including the monitor that I wanted to buy, I have spent ±R11k at them this year. Will wait and see what happens with the refund. Anyone saw a good price for a LG W2261V-PF.(Was getting it for R1,542.00)

It already does. I frequently shop online. However, there are really bad online retailers out there which doesn't deserve to be in business. I always search for products using jump.co.za, which has a rating system where you can read about the experience other people had while shopping at a specific shop.

One shop I would not recommend is click2buyit, I experienced bad service and long delays in delivery. But that was a long time ago. Hopefully they have listened to the complaints and made changes.

Wasn't there are thread around here with all the online providers? Me needs to have a quick search.

Yes, click2buyit sank, big time....there is a thread all about it on mybb.

I say they are the exception, stick to the popular, well rated online stores and 90% of the time you will be A ok.
