Online store Snatcher goes under

I've chatted to a few okes in online retail about this.

It's impossible not to. They say if you don't have a solid Google ads strategy, you just don't see any sales.

Google Shopping is apparently incredibly powerful.
I have found the same. My current Google Ads budget is R5k. I had it set to zero for one month and my sales dropped by more than 50%. Increased it R15k and revenue jumped to just over R150k in a single month. I estimate for my market I need to budget 5% to 10% on Google ads to reach a certain monthly revenue target.

I'm sure I could extract more value from my Google ads by getting a professional SEO expert to set it up better than my hack job.

I've used them a few times, easy access to typical chinese import and whatnot, never really had a issue.

I ordered a candy floss maker from them years ago. No issues. I still make candy floss today. :)

Another fine mess the ANC has gotten us into. Sad really but like it or not every bad thing that has happened in this country over the last 30 years can be traced directly back to the ANC itself.

It's not necessarily bad. It frees up space for someone else and Temu is servicing the market much more effectively.

FB and Insta ads. If you don't have a presence there as a business you are a gonner. Gone are the days you can rely on advertising and you have to engage you audience. I'm also wondering why no return business? The first thing I do when I'm looking for something is check out Loot whether I want to buy there or not.

Social media prescence/ads and Google ads are a lifeblood of todays marketing world. Word of mouth only gets you so far since a lot of shopping nowadays is online.

How do you know if a company is truly being liquidated? Can this be checked online?
Done through the high court. Also must be advertised. Court rolls perhaps. Not aware of a single place to search. If you want to know in advance, I'm afraid you may be out of luck.

It should be listed on the CIPC database as the status has to change. Scott's isn't.

Bought from them a few times, all items arrived with no issues. They even had certain branded electronics way cheaper than Takealot etc. Sadly bulk of the small items were from sites like temu (before it came about) at higher prices...hence why people probably ditched them.

"Customers are being contacted" well there's no such, I have not been conyacted even now with my already paid order & sent several emails to them with no reply😠
