Hi there,

I am an Openserve Fibre client through Afrihost, and after a power dip we just had, my ONT is now dead. I've tried another adapter too, this thing has no lights coming on...

I have contacted Afrihost but they are un-contactable via phone, their callback is until 7pm, and their Whatsapp shows online, yet when I go there it says "nobody is online". I have asked for a callback and sent them a Support email.

What is the quickest and easiest way I can get this replaced? Will Afrihost have to send Telkom out to come and do this? If so, how long will this take, I suppose weeks? Also, will my home Fibre be seen as a "critical service"?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just to update this thread:

I have been able to get hold of Afrihost this morning, when they phoned me back from a callback request. The opened a ticket with OpenServe, who needs to assign a technician to my case. When that someone gets time (I have no idea whether this will or can happen during the lockdown), then they will come to my house and test or replace the equipment.

Holding thumbs...
