Hi,

Does anyone know of some good open source accounting software?

I have played around with a few different ones but am looking for something in line with Pastel but open source.

I tried turbocad but it is a bit difficult.

Any assistance will do.

Thanks guys and girls

Open Source or Free?

gnucash
turbocash

But also keep in mind that with Pastel and the likes your paying for the added value that comes with the software. Depending on the environment, its often cheaper to use Pastel as its easier to find staff to use it.

And the added value is little to no support and the program erroring at random times, nevermind corrupting database if you don't have the "evolution" version.

Open source as in:

It's free and the dude can code more stuff into it if he wants (or just get a new version where someone else added fixes/more features)

Paying for convenience isn't on the card when you're looking for open source/free. And I think the OP knows that

Wave accounting, Kashflow are some of the popular accounting software for all your business need and instend of this you can also try one of the leading open source accounting software Giddh
