open web or web africa

i am looking for 2mbps uncap

and i am wondering who will i go to
i cancelled my mweb this month so i have a few weeks to deside who to go to

i wanted to go to webafrica but wondering how openweb is

who got the best speed who is the most reliable
thank you

I believe in letting our accounts speak for themselves so why don't you give our trial a go http://www.webafrica.co.za/adsl-trial/ and see how it compares.

The trial is based on the same bandwidth profiles as our Uncapped accounts so speeds etc should be the same.

OpenWeb. Email or PM MR Beep for a trial account :)

there's nothing wrong with IS. it's the 80/20% 50/50% ten day rolling window that sukced. which they replaced with a star system... its a rock solid network.

Openweb also uses IS, except they don't throttle or shape your service according to usage. WebAfrica does.

Openweb FTW...
And if there is a problem they sort it out fast in my experience so far.

I moved to Openweb from Mweb at the beginning of the month. I am on the silver uncapped package.

Mweb was a pretty decent experience but Skype, vpn and Youtube were always a problem. With Openweb all those problems are gone. The account is performing very well and I am happy I made the move.

Thanks to everyone who recommended us :)

Out of interest, for those who didn't recommend WA; I'd like to hear what you think we could do or change, so that maybe next time when someone asks that same question, your response is to go for WA ?

huh?

Basically he wants to know what is Web Africa doing wrong and what is Openweb doing right?

My answer would be that Web Africa's initial bash at uncapped was so bad that it left a lasting impression.

Openweb has always just worked.

There's one thing you can change and one thing you can, but won't.

Your support. Tell your tech support to get their **** in order.

Your usage policy. You monitor usage. Openweb doesn't. Openweb allows you to download as much as the shaping allows without punishing you for downloading 'too much.' You guys throttle or prioritise or whatever the hell it is you call it now.

In other words, waroop, unless Openweb craps out entirely, there is never any chance of me recommending you guys over them. Not the slightest chance in the world. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's pretty much the truth of it.

I've used both Openweb and Webafrica.
I've been recommending Openweb for years, and even if they went under tomorrow I still wouldn't recommend WebAfrica.
Openweb just works.
With WebAfrica I have to set up things like proxying to your preferred steam server for example, all the while having to worry about your dual rolling windows (the hourly, as well as the monthly)
