The only account I have had is a student account with Standard bank, but now I want a new account but I want one that isn't going to charge a fortune in fees.

I mostly bank online and don't really withdraw, I swipe the card a few times a week. I'm thinking the FNB easy account is for me since I work part time right now and don't think I would qualify for the FNB gold cheque account (I think you have to earn more than 84k a year). I want a card that is embossed and can be used to purchase online. I also want the option of opening a paypal account.

Does anyone here have the easy account and know if it meets these criteria? and have any good or bad feedback about it?

Thanks

Well I use Fnb Easy account it allows most things you mentioned above. The only thing it doesn't do its linking it with PayPal, you will need cheque account for that.

But i have an alternative(VcPay) for Cheque account and Pay Pay option. When i want to buy something which need a credit card(mastercard) i transfer amount from my fnb easy accnt to my VcPay account and create temporary credit card of that amount u wanna spend.

U can link your Vcpay(temporary credit card of your own amount) to PayPal. For more info on how VcPay works and signup...

Redeem my code AndriesV and get 25% back with your first VCpay purchase! For more: http://www.vcpay.co.za/refer-a-friend/?code=AndriesV

Firstly Standard bank has one too for R4.95 and i asked about the benefits vs gold and they just punt the gold, but really its useless. The 4.95 comes with free internet banking, sms notification and you can do it for shop purchases free. You pay extra for cash withdrawals but it hardly comes close to the gold card fees. Get the 4.95 account. Works very well. I prefer ucount to ebucks

Thanks very much!

Is that account called the Standard Bank Access?
