Openserve Fibre

My Ubiquity Edge router X had been load-balancing 2 ISP circuits for about 3 years now. Works great and there is automatic fallover when one of the 2 lines goes down.

Weird, page 2 of this thread didnt load the first visit now, lol...

I have done 4 WAN's , depends on how many other firewall rules you have as its limited by CPU on the firewall
My firewall fules are pretty basic and currently CPU doesn't go over 10% unless I'm torrenting

Will try this later tonight, already have Rain and Vodacom active so will try add my PPPOE on CISP as a 3rd

PS I made the silly mistake of numbering the first PCC as connection 1, its actually 0, and the second is 1
Aaah OK, thanks for that headsup.. I actually currently have 1 and 2, will renumber them so that I have 0, 1 and 2

You have a suggestion?
Unifi Udm pro - dream machine pro .. will be overkill but I want one.

From ubiquiti there is the edgerouter line then the unifi ecosystem where for a router I suppose you can go for the USG pro - unifi security gateway.

If you buy into the whole unifi ecosystem the setup can be quite slick (but pricey).

Else mikrotik Rb4011- but not as user friendly..which you can pair with some unifi APs

Been researching setups for a while now..best to read up extensively before you buy to see if it will meet your needs. I'm not an expert so need to do my own reading to try and figure out if things will meet my requirements.

It has 3 x wan ports. So yes you can.

I got mine from The Networking Warehouse in Midrand

Hmm so 5g line with the soon to be 40mbps on vumareach. Adding this to my to do list lol.

Is it possible to set the lines for both loadbalancing and failover?
