While I am fairly content with my 200/100 line on openserve, It just bugs me tremendously that I have friends on Vumatel who pay more or less the same as me and are on a 1Gbps line!

What is the deal with openserve, its 2020 and 1Gbps should offered to clients who need the extra speed.

Is it that openserve built their network on the ADSL backbone (IPC) ? Coz really I cannot see any other reason why 1Gbps is not a thing in 2020.

Once OS deployed MSANs they now use a full IP/ethernet backhaul model, so there is no issue with capacity in theory.
That being said they are the network we've had the least hassle with from a congestion perspective. So maybe not a terrible thing they take a conservative approach.

They just move slower being the size they are, but I imagine larger capacities becoming available soon, as it costs them nothing to do so, IPC and the national delivery model being retired is part of this I would also guess.
