Hi,

Does the the performance of vumatel compare to openserve? Both are available in my area so I wanted to check what the differences are

Both offer pretty good quality.

Vumatel charges for an installation fee currently. On the lower end packages they are more expensive than Openserve. They do offer the 1Gbps package at a very good price.

Openserve is very stable and installs pretty quick. They have well priced packages beating Vumatel in almost every speed bracket. You can get the installation for free on most ISPs. You get the option of switching ISPs in a matter of seconds by simply dialing the other ISPs pppoe details.

So if you're looking at 200Mbps and up, vumatel is usually a little cheaper, otherwise Openserve is generally cheaper.

Of the two, I'd pick Openserve due to being able to more easily swap an ISP, no connection charge every time.

Openserve allows you change isp on the fly, this is helpful when ISP is experiencing problems. For that reason alone i prefer them.
