opensuse 11.2 high cpu

i noticed that 11.2 seem sto use alot of processing especially stuff like xorg and plasma this gives me a problem when i am watching videos they tend to freeze n jerk here n there is there any one else with this problem
i ran top cwhile watching a video n noticed that when xorg got high my vid would freeze

What gfx card are you using? running a composite manager? tried using mplayer with VDPAU?

Sounds like a graphics card driver issue. Have you installed a device-specific driver or using the one that was installed with OpenSUSE?

if you have an nvidia card, look into vdpau

i do have a nvidia graphics card what is this vdpau its a fx5500 graphics card pretty old but works well everything worked well in 11.1 and i do have compiz running but i have my desktop set to slideshow mode n thats when my video freezes when the picture is changing

vdpau won't be possible on the fx5500.

a great card for use in mythtv for SD playback btw
