OpenVPN with 3g connection

I want to get a vpn service such as strongvpn or similar. Does anyone know if openvpn works with a 3g connection. Any info will be appreciated.

I've used openvpn on 3G and GPRS connections. If there is a problem with 3G coverage, GPRS works just fine - albeit slow - it is still acceptable for shell access.

Thanks for the info. I see that overplay has a local server. Has anyone used them?
