Openweb Accounts.

Hi, I have some questions about the openweb and IS accounts so please bear with me. I'm looking to have adsl installed in dec (yeah i know good luck with christmas and telkom celebrating 7.7 billion).

Anyhow im looking to get an openweb account, 2GB int + 30GB local. Now from what i've read it seems that IS account view both local and international traffic as the same thing, hence the first 2gigs i do are subtracted from my international limit, whether or not they were international - do i have this right?

Would I be able to surf the net after i've exceeded my int cap? is it a soft cap? or am i barred from any international activity? How does openbrowse work and can a program like route sentry send my international traffic through that 2gb cap allocation or do i need 2 different account?

It does not matter if it is local or international b/w, it will get subtracted from the international first.

You "shouldn't" be able to use international after you used the 2gb, you never know with IS.
Anyway, it isn't a soft cap, it's technically a hardcap.

Openbrowse connects you to OpenWeb's local proxy servers, which in turn enables you to browse internationally with local b/w. Note though, only browsing, strictly no downloading.

No matter what you do, the first 2gb that you use on that account will be subtracted from your international cap. What i recommend, use the 2/30gb account until your international is cut off, then buy a WebAfrica 1gb prepaid account for R70.

Using RouteSentry, you can use the WA account for international access and the remaining 28gb of your IS account for local use.
