OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

Thank you Anakha56,

I have replied to the PM with some suggestions.

So cableguy PM incoming:

First thing you are going to jump on and say its not my problem is the 2nd hop with the Exchange, please be advised that according to Telkom who have tested the line and reset my port that there are no faults with my Exchange/line. However they have still logged a fault on their end for a technician to check the line.

We have put this forward to become a standard feature on the new CP.

The current CP is a manual old girl, and needs lots of TLC. She will be phased out soon.

@Cableguy
Any reason why OpenWeb does not provide the self password management and usage monitoring as a default service on the client portal? The latter has been mentioned previously as being an old business decision but the former just seems a bit iffy for me - the less people are involved with managing my password, the better.
Out of curiosity, what is the naming convention for user accounts? On prior pages there's no discernable pattern, but surely there must be a standard to follow?

Any idea when we can expect the new trial accounts?

So how many people have the username "[email protected]"?

Funny thing. Two of my colleagues who have been experiencing really crappy performance the last while were (they have separate accounts) both given this same username yesterday. They're currently both trying to use it. Sounds a bit weird.

Is the password 1122 or 3344 on it?

Nah, dyc.... Most of their other accounts seem to be 1122. These two guys even had the same password though.

The bigger issue is that the one guy is on a 4mbps account and the other is on a 2mbps account. They're paying for a completely different grade/level of product as well.

They can log in here and click Login History - http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/.

Please post a screenshot of what you see.

If you emailed [email protected] with your details today, you should be receiving the details within the next 24 hours.

If you do not, please PM me your ticket number, and I will take a look for you

Guess I'll PM you tomorrow as I only mailed around twelve today..

So, just to get everything straight..

The account will be completely uncapped, unshaped all ours of the day and only have one concurrent user?

It doesn't seem to manage to authenticate. It just shows the login popup, no matter how many times you enter the details.

They have emails where they were given the same credentials during the same time period.

Oh dear. Anyone else having problems authenticating? I can't either. http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/

SAIX account authenticating fine.

cableguy, have you now gotten SAIX to block OpenWeb accounts like you got IS to do? ;)

IS accounts wont work

They do, most/many of them.
