OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

Poor customer service Openweb.

Account just drops last night so needed to use my backup FNB account just to log a ticket.

Ticket was logged as Urgent at 21:05. Absolutely no reply until 07:48 this morning telling me to try again.

I tried at 15:34 and it still has authentication issues. I responded on the ticket and almost 2 hours later still no reply.

Really guys this is the worst customer service I've experienced with an ISP. Who doesn't have 24 hour support these days? What is the point of making a ticket Urgent if it is treated with the same priority as Normal.
 
Every ISP I've been with has had problems with something or another. It's just the way it is.

If you strongly think that Openweb 's support is sub par, rock the wallet.
 
Well, my account has been dead since yesterday evening.....little red light blinking lonely on my router since then.....this is the second time that I've had connection issues in less than 3 months. Seriously considering a different ISP at this stage. Come on Openweb....fix my issues!
 
Three hours and still no response. I've been without my connection for over 20 hours. What is going on?
 
Was having a back and forth with someone from support as well then all of a sudden they disappeared. Nearly 3 hours and counting without a response.

Mmmm.....seems from the responses that the problem might be widespread? Whereabouts are you guys in the country? I'm in JBay.

Shaping is dynamic.

If the network is quiet before 17:00, we will give you full speed.

Its before 17:00 and my account is running full speed. Whats going on here?
 
I'm just wondering: Where on the pecking order is the Gold Power Uncapped supposed to be?

HTTP is ok, but torrents have been the pits for the last few days, like 5kB/s. Tried through 3G and the same torrent flies? And I'm talking slow speed at night, expect this kind of performance during the day.

And no, speedtest comes through at full speed so everything else is ok.

mr Beep, while I know OW doesn't officially support 3rd party DNS servers, can you please recommend one for Netflix. I'm currently experiencing low quality (360p) on my AppleTv using unotelly - and this is on my 4mb line during unshaped times.
 
Unotelly is the most popular one at this stage.

I do know Telkom just sent out a huge amount of notices of errors across the country

My connection just died..
