I've needed two (two!) port resets today. For the first, I subjected myself to the elevator muzak. I didn't have energy the second time around, so I switched the router off for 30 minutes. In both cases, pings went from ±1.1-1.7s on the second hop down to about 10-15ms. I think our exchange has some serious congestion issues (I'm not a network technician, and I don't play one in a daytime soap opera). Congella Exchange, Durban.

Aaaaand there it goes again...

So by the looks of it my router is toast :( anyone suggest a good reliable brand? Out netgear DGN1000 lasted just over a year.

My 2mbps Gamer King package ran constantly at 1-1.5mbps for most of the day and at 2mbps since 17:30.

Good value right there ;)

Meh, NNTP seems borked. Was working fine for about 20 minutes, but nothing for the past hour or so.

Edit: started up at 19h30 again.

R1k is a bit steep (even though my current one was near there about a year ago) saw this one for half the price and it serves the basic needs in the house, including 3g fail over

agree,i got a trendnet and its not good
it works in a way,but stay away

i also looked at that router to replace my trendnet one,but i am a bit low on money atm...

my trednet rounter's rubbish :( on some days, I have to restart it a lot to get a stable internet conn  This router is the reason why my relationship with mr.beep has been strained  I blame him wrongly for my crappy adsl situation.

If i had some cash lying around here, i would def buy this router in a single heart beat.
