Can anybody shed some light on what the difference between openweb.co.za and mynetwork.co.za accounts is?

As far as I remember Openweb is IS and mynetwork is MTN.

Depending on what account level it is, you can ask to be switched to whichever one you prefer afaik.

Anything wrong with international at the moment? Only get max 4-5Mbps on speed tests to international servers. Local seems okay.

20Mbps. Everything seems to be working fine but speedtest results weird.

Try MyBB speedtest, I always get full speed here, also testmy.net gives good results if all is well.

The MyBroadband speedtest is better.

We prefer real life usage, eg browsing etc to determine speeds.

This same thing happened to me. No international, new user name and then it worked. I take it the new username routes internationally differently?

So then why did nobody acknowledge a problem or why is no network notice up if this is a known issue on OpenWeb's side???

Sometimes the problem is not the network itself, most likely is contention ratio in play.

Like MrBEEP always saying the more you pay the less you share.

So a new username put you onto another group with lower contention give you better use of the internet.
